IS YOGA ANTAR’S TEACHER TRAINING
CERTIFIED BY YOGA ALLIANCE?
Yes. We offer courses realized by Yoga Alliance Registered
Yoga School 200 (RYS 200). It means we offer internationally
recognized 200-hours yoga course with certification of Yoga
Alliance and based on Yoga Alliance norms. After finishing
any of our Teacher Training Course and passing all internal
exams our students get certificate registered in Yoga
Alliance. With such certification you can teach all over the
world and you can get registered as yoga teacher in Yoga
Alliance as Registered Yoga Teacher 200 (RYT 200).
IS ACCOMMODATION AND INCLUDED IN THE PRICE?
We respect different needs and preferences, so we would like
to give to our students freedom of choice where to stay for
30 days during the course.
We are flexible, so we are offering you a choice between two
options:
- if you choose TTC “with accommodation” you will get
the room near our yoga hall. This option costs about 200
€ more.
- if you choose option “without accommodation” the
price for TTC will be cheaper (200 €) and you can find a
room by yourself according to your needs and
preferences.

IS FOOD INCLUDED IN THE PRICE?
Only breakfasts 5 days a week (Monday – Friday). We offer
healthy and vegetarian light breakfasts after morning yoga
sessions. The rest meals students are requested to organize
by themselves according to their budget and preferences.
There is no problem with this. You will be surprised by the
variety of tasty and healthy food available at the places.
HOW EXPENSIVE IS A MEAL IN INDIA?
The food in India is quite cheap. Average tasty and healthy
lunch or dinner costs 2-5 €. Please remember that 5
breakfasts a week are already included in the course fee, so
you need to organize only the rest of meals: lunches,
dinners and drinks.
CAN I PARTICIPATE IN THE COURSE IF I AM YOGA BEGINNER?
Yes, we are open for yoga beginners. Please notice that our
TTC is intensive 30-days yoga practice, so you need to
decide if you are ready to participate in the whole program.
Our course might be difficult for beginners in certain
parts, because it is advanced level of yoga knowledge and
practice, however we believe that if you really want to
learn, you will manage for sure! We are trying always to
assist you individually whenever you need more explanation
or support. We pay attention to each student. In application
form please write that you have no experience with yoga, so
that we can prepare some helpful additional materials and
guidance for you. Please remember that only participating in
the whole course and passing all exams you will be able to
get certified! From our side we will give you all necessary
help and support:-)
WHAT DO I NEED TO COME TO INDIA?
For sure you will need Visa. For Yoga TTC we recommend
simple TOURIST VISA – the easiest and fastest way to get
visa and come to India. Normally tourist visa is given for
90 – 180 days, but please check Visa regulations in Indian
Consulate in your country. Application for Visa should be
given minimum 2 weeks before planned flight. Remember that
Visa is valid from the date of ISSUE, not date of ARRIVAL!
In the form we recommend to write “TOURISTIC” in the field
of your aim of coming to India.
WHICH STYLE OF YOGA WILL I LEARN?
We teach Traditional Hatha Yoga which is the basis of all
style of Yoga. Our adjustments techniques and teaching
methodology are applicable to any style of Yoga. Our
teachers are coming from many traditions and schools of
yoga, such as Sivananda, Iyengar, Ashtanga, Vinyasa Flow,
Yin, Kundalini and Tantra. During the course we are
conducting classes in few styles and showing the differences
(and similarities) between them. Our TTC is registered as
Multi Style. It is based on Vinyasa Flow, Ashtanga (Primary
Series), Sivananda and Iyengar Yoga. Students can choose
their specialization and pass exam from chosen style/
styles.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING FOR THE YOGA TTC?
Most of recommended items can be purchased locally.
- sporty clothes – we practice yoga everyday for few hours
- yoga mat – mats are available to buy in our school for
market price
- light shawl or cotton scarf for meditation (white, orange
or maroon)
- flip-flops, beach towel and swimming suit (Goa) and
comfortable sporty shoes for easy trekking (Dharamshala and
Rishikesh)
- In the early mornings and late evenings some jumper can be
necessary, especially in Dharamshala
- For courses in May and July we recommend also light rain
coat – it might rain sometimes, especially in June
- Sun Protection and sun glasses: take care against the
strong sun!
- MONEY: cash and travelers checks can be exchanged to
rupees, the Indian currency, and there are also some ATMs.
Remember one cannot buy rupees before getting to India and
one cannot take rupees out of India. You can exchange your
currency upon arrival at any Indian airport. For the up to

- Electrical items: India operates on 220V, the same 2 prong
plugs as Europe, which are different from North America
- mosquito repellent: an excellent version called Odomos is
available here
- driving license: if you plan on renting a car or scooter
- torch/ flashlight: power outages are frequent in India and
you might want some help seeing in the dark
- earplugs: if you are sensitive sleeper
DO I NEED VACCINATIONS TO COME TO INDIA?
Officially vaccination are not obligatory. Our courses are
taking place always in touristic and hygienic places. The
regions are safe and visited by people from all over the
world. We never had bad experience with any serious
diseases. We offer places which we know and trust to,
however it is recommended that you visit your GP, personal
physician or a travel health clinic 4 to 8 weeks before your
departure to India. Recommended vaccinations often include
hepatitis A, typhoid, tetanus and polio. Goa is not a
high-risk area for malaria and the tablets can be considered
controversial, we recommend that you do some research and
make your own decision on this. WHAT WILL I LEARN DURING YOGA TEACHER TRAINING COURSE?
The program of our TTC is based on Yoga Alliance standards.
Our TTC is ideal for those who have always wanted to deepen
understanding of Yoga and get to know better its all
aspects. History, philosophy, cultural background, mantras
and kriyas on one hand, “technical”, practical knowledge
about alignment & adjustment of asanas, anatomy and
physiology of human body and yoga teaching techniques – on
the other. One of the most appreciated aspects of the
Yogantar Yoga
Teacher Training is its unique hands-on adjustment which
creates amazing results and is highly effective. Students
practice teaching from the first week! Our speciality is workshop for teaching techniques – with
Yogantar Yoga International you will get your own space
for real teaching and all needed care to support your first
steps. As a part of the course we prepared open free yoga
classes run by you together with Yogantar Yoga Teacher’s
help for students in Arambol and Dharamsala. According to Yoga Alliance standards our TTC consists of
following parts: * Techniques Training/Practice
- Includes asanas, pranayamas,
kriyas, chanting, mantras, meditation and other traditional
yoga techniques. These hours are a mix between (1)
analytical training in how to teach and practice the
techniques, and (2) guided practice of the techniques
themselves; * Teaching Methodology - Includes principles of
demonstration, observation, assisting/correcting,
instruction, teaching styles, qualities of a teacher, the
student’s process of learning, and business aspects of
teaching yoga. * Anatomy & Physiology
- Includes both human physical
anatomy and physiology (bodily systems, organs, etc.) and
energy anatomy and physiology (chakras, nadis, etc.).
Includes both the study of the subject and application of
its principles to yoga practice (benefits,
contraindications, healthy movement patterns, etc).
* Yoga Philosophy/Lifestyle and Ethics for Yoga Teachers
-
Includes the study of yoga philosophies, yoga lifestyle, and
ethics for yoga teachers. * Practicum - Includes practice teaching, receiving
feedback, observing others teaching and hearing/giving
feedback. Also includes assisting students while others are
teaching. * Other activities - special group workshops and activities
additional to Yoga Alliance standards, for example:
improvisation dance & theatre workshops which help you to
understand your body and Inner-Self, different group
meditation techniques including dynamic meditations,
movement meditations, silent walk to the mountains and more.
